[...] Things have been BUSY around here. It’s always busy in a sense, but lately it’s been quite insane. Why? Well, there are a couple transitions going on. First off, I’m leaving a long stint as a researcher at the Child Study Center at UVa in 4 weeks to dedicate myself full-time to photography. I am thrilled to be fully self-employed – however, I will surely miss the lab. Until then, we’re frantically trying to recruit as many children as we can to complete the Child Affective Facial Expression stimulus set in time for my departure. (Know any Hispanic or Indian/South Asian children between the ages of 4 and 6? We’re still in need of these subjects to pose emotional faces for us! The visit is quick, easy, and we’ll pay you $20! For details, see this blog post.) [...]
